[Q] How secure is the SDS Vault?

[A] Very. The vault  is underground except when in use or being serviced. When it is underground it is only accessible through the on-board stand alone computer. This computer is not networked to any other computers (closed loop), It controls all access to the vault and records all attempts to access it and all movements of the vault. An 8 digit pin, set by us in the main office, ensures that passwords are not easy to guess. The keypad, the only access to the onboard computer from the outside world, can only be armed by authorized personnel and is only active for a certain amount of time. After a pre-set number of incorrect password attempts, the keypad is locked down for a period of time. Passwords are good only for one specific compartment. To access all 6 compartments, a person would need all six passwords, and would have to go through the access and store mode, raising and lowering the vault, six separate times.
